The Friends of the Library will be at the Block Party on July 3 with its Big Book Sale, as well as sidewalk chalk drawing and bubbles for the kids. Come on down to the festivities, and leave with a bag of summer reads! To learn more about the Friends, and how they help the Library, click here.

Find out what kind of fun stuff is happening in the Youth Library this July and August. Magic, animals, music, books, and digging aplenty.
We now have computers at the Library to help you with job searches. These computers use CAREER CRUISING software to explore options, write resumes, and more. We also have a printer/scanner to use. These programs are a gift of the Rotary Club of Fitchburg and the Staples Foundation. Click on the CAREERS link to learn more.
Don't forget to visit the Book Sale each first Monday of the month, from Noon to 7 p.m. Your purchases supports the Friends of the Fitchburg Public Library. This time of year, you may find some good things to read to take to the beach. There will also be a bigger book sale at the Civic Days Block Party on July 3, from 3 to 7 p.m.

We now have a new online program to help you learn a new language. It includes lessons, games, cultural programs, games and interactive quizes. You can learn Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and even Sign Language. People who want to improve their English can also use it. Check out ROCKET LANGUAGES to learn more about this fantastic program. You will need to log in with your Fitchburg Public Library card number, so have it handy!
